Refugees Rescue Mission, Inc. (RRM) is a Christian non-profit organization which was founded in 2009 by the Rev. Innocent N. Justice. The RRM began with a vision of helping arriving refugees in the Triad area of North Carolina (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.) The goal of the RRM was to raise awareness in local churches about the local mission of helping resettled refugees. The refugees who came to the USA from Africa and Asia needed to be helped and integrated by local churches.
We provided basic household materials, interpretation for social services and doctors’ appointments, and transportation to churches and daily activities in their first few months in the USA. We helped refugees from Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and Bhutanese who came from Nepal.
Today, the RRM takes its mission to the next level. Our new mission is to advocate for refugees who are still on the continent of Africa, most living in refugee camps. Our dream is to provide scholarships to the refugees with outstanding potential to attend college. We are aware that there many bright young men and women who can’t afford to go to school because they are displaced from their homes and living in poverty. The RRM created the Justice Scholarship to help those students to achieve their dreams with the hope that when they will finish their higher education they will give back and transform their communities and their countries.
Our vision is simply giving chance African children access to a higher education. We want to increase enrollment of poor young men and women in private universities around the African Continent.
Our mission is connecting young African men and women, refugees and non-refugees to faith based churches, Sunday schools, and church’s groups who are willing to transform live of one person at time until we will transform lives of African children. Furthermore, we are called to be the voice of voiceless refugees.
